Can anyone recommend some good ftp client programs? I tried Cuteftp, but it can't browse some sites for some unknown reason. I tried Leapftp too, but sometimes it corrupts downloaded files.

bulletproof ftp works ok for me.
Why don't you take a look at CNET? (http://download.cnet.com) There you can find a lot of shareware and freeware together with reviews of the apps so you can make up your mind yourself.
I keep using one called SmartFTP...very good in my opinion (for basic things)
(and completely free of course :) )

You should give Filezilla a try.
http://sourceforge.net/projects/filezilla/
ssl support,small and fast.
And my suggestion has nothing to do with my name mentioned on the developers page *BFG*.
really .. try it.. fine tool.

I use LeechFTP

The development is stopped, but the program is free, cool and easy i think.

Hi, - the best ftp apps i have used are flashFXP and BulletproofFTP - both are non-bloated proggies, though if u don't use the FXP protocol FlashFXP has functionality ur never going to use. Neither are free if that's a problem. I'd recommend Bulletproof if ur not going to use FXP. I think WS_FTP is worth a try as well but i haven't used it for a long time.

Heh, guess I'll try Bulletproof then. The IE ftp browser must be the worst in the world...

I perfer bulletproof when i want to make sure a download gets completed seems teh best for that.. but general ftp'ing with multple sites i perfer Smartftp. since you can connect to a few ftp sites at the same time it also supports FXP and Global/session queues etc.. lots of abilities..
