I haven't encoded anything in a while and I am just stuck with a problem making a stats file in the 1st pass. I set the audio to off and don't touch any other setting and press f8. I enter the name of the stat in the dir that it supposed to be saved in but I get an avi file called __temp__.avi being saved in my nandub dir. And from the looks of it, it is encoded file at 6000 bit rate since the file is huge and I run out of room. I can't figure out how to make the stats file to work. The video is set to default which is full processing mode. Can someone please help me out? Thnx

I remember having the same problem that you had!
You might be missing some codecs! I found out that i was missing codecs for Divx3 & Divx4! when i installed them, It started to work again!

PS you might also need to download divx5 codec too to make it work!

Hi - nandub should only be used with divx 3.11;-) alpha to encode mpeg4.
@sn4k1z - ur symptoms sound like you have only installed divx 4 or 5, or that it is set to be the default codec evn though u have 3.11 installed. so - if u have divx4 and 3.11 installed remove divx4 ( u might need to reinstall 3.11 again after uninstalling divx4 ) ... is that the problem ?
edit: i re-read ur post sn4k1z - i'm sorry, but i think maybe this isn't ur problem after all, although i would still try ... i have been awake for far too long today i think, sorry :|
