Special gear needed for CSS-encrypted authoring?

Just wondering if it's possible to author a disc onto DVD-R and have a third party or the duplicator perform the CSS encryption so it can be commercially released. If not, what do authoring burners go for these days?

you need a DVD for authoring burner and DVD for authoring blanks.. then select the option to prepare the disc for CSS insertion before burning it. Your replicator can then add CSS.
