Backing up Pulp Fiction

Hi,

I own Pulp Fiction and decided to use it to practice DVD copying. My wife watches it once a week (or more) so it seems a worthwhile endeaver to copy it. I loaded up IfoEdit 0.91 and used the split to 2 dvds option. After burning the resulting images, I found the menus don't work. It seems the actual menus are buried in the video VOBs. What I'd like is for someone to walk me through keeping the original menus of Pulp using IfoEdit to split it to 2 DVDs. The problem seems to be the menus are buried in the actual movie VOBs and I'm not sure how to go about extracting them while retaining movie integrity.

the menu file is in the VTS_XX_0.VOB file. Just look for the zero at the end and make sure those files are on both discs.

Hrmm. I copied those files (following Derrow's guide from his website) to both DVDs. Jump to menu, jump to chapter menu, etc. all are non-functional. On my computer, they cause the software player to lock up. On my settop, going to the main menu plays the first minute or so of the movie and then starts over again, which is admittedly entertaining at first.

I'm doing a pulp-fiction on ONE DVD-R with IfoEdit and TMPGENC.
I have a full working version , the problem is that my VOB's is
75 MB to large to fit on ONE DVD-R , I had to Resample The movie
and use a bitrate on exact 3 Mbit/Sec...


In TMPGENC i'm doing 2-pass VBR , and it takes a long time about
22 hours on a athlon 1.2 Ghz..

But it's worth that , try it yourself...
