Hi everybody. Can somebody help me w/ this audio question. I have searched around and can't find the answere for this. Ok I want to rip DVD karaoke, and as you know there're 2 audio for karaoke. Because when u press the "audio" to turn off the vocal to be able to sing. So how do u do that. I have tried many different ways but i can't do it. I've told that DVD2SVCD can do that. Can somebody show me how ?

All how do I do this questions belong in basics.

On the conversion tab you will see all the audio streams. One of the audio streams will be automatically selected and will have a check and the number "1" next to it. Find the other audio stream you want and click on the dropdown. Then you select the number "2" and this will select it as the second audio stream.

After that you go and do all the adjustments on the audio in the audio tab.

Your DVD/Karaoke player must support multiple SVCD audio streams as well.

Markrb: thanks for the reply man. Not alot of people would reply to this question. But I have another question to ask. Ok yes I did what you posted already. My question is that..

1.Under the Audio tab the "tooLame mode" do i keep it as Stereo or Dual Channel ? I've tried Stereo and Dual Channel. it doesn't work when i use WinDVD to play my video clip. In WinDVD the audio is disable. I can't pick any other audio.

Leave it as stereo. WinDVD 3.0 and below does not support dual audio. I do not know about WinDVD 4. However I do know that PowerDVD supports dual audio.

Markrb: Thanks for that little tip, but when I tried your tip using as "stereo" in tooLame. My .mpg video comes out weird. Ok first I played it in Windows Media Player there's video but no sound. Then I played in Inter Win DVD 3.2 there's video and sound, but not vocal just music. Which means it's in the karaoke mode. But when I try to enable the audio to get vocal...I can't. The option is gray out can't enable it, the same thing as the karaoke mode. But in Powere DVD there's video and audio with vocal. When I try to enable the audio on Power DVD....I can't it won't let me. The audio option is gray out. Can't select it. So just to sum it up. I get it that my .mpg file has 2 audio channel but not selectable ??? So how or what can i do to test it ?

Note: I set tooLame as Dual Channel the files comes out the same way. InterWinDVD: video & audio without vocal. PowerDVD: video & audio w/ vocal but can't turn off vocal

I have done a few karaok svcds, they dont appear right under software players, but work perfectly on stand alone DVD players. I guess you shoudl test it on your dvd player. Oh, dont forget to set the "audio 2 priority 1" on the audio tab as well, I always do this.

I have not encoded any karaok since 1.0.9, so I dont know if there are any changes.

On the Audio Menu, the default bitrate for both Audio 1 and Audio 2 is 128. Change them to 224, this will make music sounds good but will lose video quality. For me, sound is more important than video.
On the Bitrate Menu, change the Max 2530 to 2308. Then change Max. avg 2230 to 2008.

Ok guys thanks for all of your help really appreciated but I have one more question though. After I burn my SVCD with menus and chapters w/ Nero and Ulead DVD Fac. I can't switch to the other audio stream. Why ?? Ok this is going to sound weird but I tested a chapter of my dvd and it works w/ 2 audio stream and selectable. But when I do a chapter at a time for the whole DVD and burn it won't work. Eventhough under TMPGenc Multiplexor when i open my mpeg files it stated 1 video and 2 audio streams.
