Sometimes it is very disturbing being not able to include images into a posting.

A picture tells experienced users more than some undetailed (or detailed) words - especially in workin with videos and video programs.

I would like to include some pictures of the new cce 2.66sp (beta) to my posting (f.e. included 3:2 pulldown) but it is deactivated.
I donīt want to attach these pictures and I donīt want to put a side up to which I can link then ...

I simply want to show it in my posting.

So my question: why is this important feature deactivated or could you please activate. Thanks.

it's not deactivated.. all there is is a limit to what files you can attach (bmp is a nogo due to the size.. ).. and pictures are handled like attachments.. they have to be validated and there's a one attachment per post limit..

OK, thanks.

Then Iīll give it a try and post the image (gif) in cce section.

The process is iluding me.
Is it trough the IMG button at the top of the Editor Window?
It asks for (IMG)xxx(IMG) how do I tell it where the picture is? Does it have to be hosted?

Or is this acomplished by the Attach file Field, and further validated by a moderator? Doom9's answer leads me to believe this is the case.
Confirmation anyone?

Can I attach a 133K file JPEG? Are there any rules for that?

attatchment needs to be validated.

Hmm... exactly why is that? If a person have a webspace to store an image, why not let them link directly to it so it shows up without having to do the whole validation part.

I guess one possible reason could be that people would have the opportunity to put up "inappropiate" pictures, but to be honest I doubt that'd be a problem (though experienced moderators perhaps disagree?).
