Ok guys, Gimme the key 2 this
I Have ripped A BUG's LIFE.... with Smarrt Ripper
I have choose VIDEO, ENGLISH AC-2 Sound and SPANISH SUBTITLES ok
10 minutes and I have the rip... SOOOOOOOOOOOOO here's my question
The RIP is UNDER 4,7 !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
So if I copy the Video_TS.BUB , VIDEO_TS.IFO, VIDEO_TS.VOB and VTS_01_0.BUB, VTS_01_0.IFO, VTS_01_0.VOB untouched (I mean without passing via InfoEDit) with the RIPPED FILES (those with only english sound and spanish subtitles) To a DVD... WILL IT WORK????
I'm only deleting extra info and I will never click on the deleted features... so theorycally I don't have 2 use Infedit... I'm I Right? or complety wrong???!!!!
Most likely not. There might be other titleset needed by video_ts (i.e FBI warning) it needs to start the movie and/or menu. Also, if its a multiangle dvd, then smartripper will rip only one angle however your video manager will still look at it as multiangle. You'll be better off if you study the guides and do it right. :)

If I add the menu vobfiles and the FBI warning seems 2 work, the only thing that happens is that if u click on a button that has no longer data it tell ya that "there is an ilegal navigation point"
So I think that if u don't click on those buttons... No problem... I'm walking in the right way?
Well.. its your call. But not all dvd are structured in the same way. One might work but others won't. Sooner or later you'll encounter problems and you might also waste disks. As I've said, you'll be better off following the guides. It's really not that hard to understand. Good luck. :o

Hi,
i have to agree with rpa..
At first i thought that smartripper was THE solution.. but it's not.
I mean then the stream stripping..
I tried it all but my movie would not start at my standalone...
Then i tried to copy the VOB's with DVDdecrypter and used IFOedit to strip the streams, it worked perfectly.. everything works..
Why don't you want to use IFOedit? it's not that difficult.. just press 3 buttons and it's done

I must say that the guides are really the only way to go. What works for one may not work for another etc.
I spent many sleepless nights and ruined media trying to work through the guides from other sites (B4 I found Doom9 of course) - and when I found Derrows guides it all clicked into place. I went from thinking I would never crack it to now - where I rip everything in sight and have no problems anymore (well not yet anyway). Ifoedit is really a top prog. It can do so much - and I'm learning new angles on it all the time.
Stick with it & do it right - It is worth it.
Happy ripping

jmonfm: did you try to rip "end of days" ??
it's a strange one.. it starts at the end of the last VOB en then continues on the first VOB
ifoEdit does not understand

No, I hav'nt tried that one. It seems very strange & I have not come across this problem before. Have you tried renaming the vobs - making the last one number 1 and then continuing on with what was the first vob. Run it all through ifoedit with create new video_ts.ifo & bup files & it may work -(no menu though). Failing that, Derrow might have an answer ___---Very strange---___
Happy ripping (won't be logged on for about a week)
