If you were to put it on 3 passes(the standard for high quality) It first makes a .vaf file THEN encodes it three times isn't this in fact 4 passes from a nandub/DivX5 point of view.
Therefore:
2 passes it makes a vaf file then encodes it 2 more times = 3 total "passes"

4 pass is really 5 pass, etc, etc, etc

So....
If you want three passes shouldn't we set it for "2" pases and if you raelly want 4 total passes(for maximum quality) shouldn't we set it for "3" passes?

Also how does encoding it many times help the bitrate distrobution? I mean it only works off of ONE .vaf, I mean if it made several .vaf's each getting better per pass I can see that but I don't understand

After every pass the vaf is modified (and overwritten).
If you don´t do bit comparisons then simply lookup the file date.

More passes than "Multipass=3" (=> 4x) decreases quality. That´s for sure (despite what some peoples` opinion is on that).

In USA first floor is ground floor, while in Europe first floor is that what is 1 level above...

Do you have 13th floors over there? In America there is no 13th floor in any building it goes 1,2,...,11,12,14,15,..., ?

As I know there is 13-th floor in US too, but usually it's used for equipment of building.
