Where are the 99 minute CDRs?

After a search of the usual suspects, www.newegg.com, www.buy.com, www.outpost.com, I am still unable to locate 99 minute cdr's. Has anyone found them online or in a chain retail store for a great price? If so where? TIA

I'm from Spain, and I have tried the 99 min CD with my PlexWriter and I couldn't get one of them right.

Later, I heard that u had to burn them at 1x or 2x max, otherwise they wouldn't come out right, but I haven't had time to test them properly.

In any case, if u want, I can ask the shop where I bought them where they got them from.

The lowest price I found them for after a rather extensive search online was $60 for 100. Since I can buy 100 80 min cdr's for about $25, I don't think the expense is justified. If I can find them for a better price I might try them out. Apparently a lot of people have trouble with them or they would be more popular. If I could get them not only could I use them for dvd backup, but also my regular system backups would take less discs and time.

There are not many cd-writers that support 99min cd's.
Take a look at the reviews at CDRinfo (http://www.cdrinfo.com/), to see what writers can burn 99min.

Yeah this article (http://www4.tomshardware.com/storage/02q2/020411/100audio-01.html) is the one at tom's hardware (http://www.tomshardware.com) that got me intrested in 99 minute cdrs to begin with. Too bad it doesn't tell me where I can get them.

I'm not sure if it is what you are looking for - but you can get what are called 90+ CDR's at www.thepriceiswrite.co.uk This is a UK based company.

CompUSA sells 90 and 99 mins CD for around 8-10 for a 15 pack. They are pretty good quality IMO.
