Problem with bbMPEG - third file is big (1,2GB)

For my movie 2h 20mins I set 3CD with 800MB => file mvp is 2,2GB. All work well, CCE made all OK. But I have problem with bbMPEG. First 2 file are OK, but size of third file is 1,2GB.

When I saw to file "bbMPEG Movie Settings3.ini", there is wroted line "maxFileSize=9999"

( In file bbMPEG Movie Settings1.ini and bbMPEG Movie Settings2.ini is true value... 795 )

It is bug in DVD2SVCD ? How I can repair it ? (DVD2svcd 1.0.9 buld 2)

That line in the bbmpeg.ini is suppose to be there. It just means this is the last disc use whatever is leftover.

You used recover a couple of times. Did you make any changes to anything when you stopped DVD2SVCD and then re-started using recover?

If you make changes using recover sometimes the results are wierd.

If you did make changes you will want to start over using the correct settings from the beginning.

What was the reason you used recover?

Yes, I stops finishing and use recover from : "muxing and cutting" several. Still same.

I want not to count once again with CCE ( it is 12 hours ... ).

But do You think, it can be bad made with CCE ?


size of .mpv file is cca 2 234 000 000B
size of .mp2 file is cca 640 000 000B
size of .ac3 file is cca 830 000 000B

and

bbMPEG_Muxed_File00.mpg ... 833 000 000B
bbMPEG_Muxed_File01.mpg ... 833 000 000B
bbMPEG_Muxed_File02.mpg ... 1237 000 000B !

Just for info the ac3 file is not used in the muxing.


Those mp2 file is huge. I just did a 2 hour 25 minute movie and my p2 file was 168mb's.

Please double check the .mp2 file and if it is really about 640mb's then the problem may be that. If so please post your BeSweet log file.

It is about 400 or so megabytes too large and guess what the filesize is about 400 or so megabytes too large.

You say that the ac3 file is just under 830mb's, but according to the log it's much smaller.
This is before the AC3 file is ripped:

This is after it is ripped:

Free on drive C: 7313.58 mb

Only about 258mb's.

Now I have looked and your mp2 file should not be that large.
Look at the log again.

Free on drive C: 7119.77 mb after the mp2


If those file sizes are what you say they are something altered them after they were processed by DVD2SVCD.


Do this if the mp2 file really is that big:
Make a new directory and point DVD2SVCD at it. Start the whole process over again, but when CCE starts kill the whole thing. Then move the mp2 file to where the rest of the first encode is and overwrite the first file. Start DVD2SVCD and use recover from muxing and cutting.

I run new whole conversion and now is all OK. I dont know, why first conversion was bad, but I dont change anything in bitrate.
