i am planing to buy Sony Digital 8 Camcorder for CAPTURING tv shows.
important - i don`t care much for 300x ZOOM or nightshot - only PASSTHRU for TV capture is important for me.

SatTV (analog out) => camera (analog in) > Via Firewire (iLINK) capture to HDD

If anyone is having this type of setup , please recomend the CHEAPEST NTSC Digital 8 camcorder capable of capturing without recording to tape first.

i`ve chosen sony becase , sony D8 camcorders usualy have analog in & they are capable of PASSTHRU. DV cam wold be nice too bit i am lookin for cheapest solution .

TiA:)

Why not simply buy the cheapest Sony? I think all models except 1st generation have passthru feature. I use a hacked PAL TRV-120 myself.
