Not sure if this should go here or in the audio forums but...
There are several sources of info on how to strip a video stream, do whatever you want to it and then remux it into the vob(s). Is there anything available (tools, description etc.) on doing the same with audio - i.e. leave video stream alone but edit audio and remux it back into the vob(s)? The tools I've seen that do do remuxing all seem to want an m2v as input....
