40 mins into Willow

I have yet to try Divx5.02 but does anybody have any tips on how to get that bright angel scene about 40 mins into Willow look good? I use xvid so would using the start credit feature... and maybe changing the parameters help? Any tips appreciated.

640x272, simple resize, full video size: 740megs, default xvid ultra 2 pass internal settings, using end credit feature... oh and luma masking.

Hmm, try using the credits function together with constant quant 2 or maybe 1...

just disable luma-masking. very bright and dark areas are looking better withoutthis nice feature of xvid.

Oh yeah... personally I never use luma masking, tried it once and my movie turned out really bad. Not sure about now though.
