Lord of the Rings wont play

Hi all I hope someone can answer this question for me please.

I have copied my friends DVD version of LOTR to my HDD with SmartRipper. I then Run IfoEdit on it just to see if I could correct why it wont play on either of my DVD players downstairs.

When I click get VTS sectors it says it has corrected them all ok, so I write the DVD. I can open the VIDEO_TS file from the DVD-R from my PC using Power DVD v4.0 and all works ok but when I try and play it in my DVD player it does not work. Please Help.

You have to check on vcdhelp.com if your DVD player can read DVD-R.

There seems to be some inconsitancy when trying to play DVDR's on my player its a goodmans GDVD-124. I have managed to get 2 DVDR's to work on it. But sometimes when I put this is it doesn't work. Any suggestions.
