Are Digi-Beta & Digital Beta the same thing?
Thanks in advance!:)
I use digi-beta alot....Ive never heard it described as Digital Beta, but if they are both made by Sony, then one would assume they are the same thing. (?)

Thanks bro!
I really appreciate your help!
How do you connect the digi-beta playar to your capture device? And also does it contain audio or just video? Do you need to use a DAT Player/Drive to rip out the audio.
Thanks in advance!:)

Digital Betacam is the followup to Betacam SP and can have a cleaner signal, maybe DV support (not sure tho) but does have 4ch audio support just like DVCAM does.
a Digital Betacam deck should have stereo and quad outputs, depending on how much it cost.

What Capture card do you use? I need one for Digi-beta & 3/4 Umatic.
I hope it's not that expensive, because I just bought CCE SP.
Thanks!:)
Unfortunatly I cant tell you...& its also ridiculously expensive.

well, just look at a deck that has analogue outputs, makes it easy to use just a simple cap card.

But won't I loose some quality?
Also, do you know of a best card you can use with CCE.
Because the one that came preinstalled in my computer picks up noise, even if I connect the original source to A DeNoiser (hooked with my PA system) And the original source doesen't have any Noise Reduction.
That's why I'm lookin towards a Digital One, that I can hook up to Digi-Beta Player & Umatic 3/4.
Thanks In Advance!:)

yes using the y/c or comps is lossy, using component is better than comps, maybe a little better than y/c too, altho for lossless, im not sure if digi-beta comes with ilink ports (ie 1394), have a look around.
