hello .
i have the first pass log of my movie with an avs . I used a bilinear resize filter .
but now,i want to use a bicubic filter .
can i use my log file or i must do again the first pass ???

The resize filter has an effect on every macroblock in the picture. Some resize filters smooth, some sharpen, some are accurate, some are less accurate. Because it has such a great impact on the final output, using a different filter for the 1st and 2nd pass alters the encoding in such a way that it is no longer efficient or even compareble.
In your case the bilinear uses a completely different algorithm to resize, and it also blurs much more than bicubic.
So you have no other choice but to run the first pass again.
