Hi!

Since there is no such Option in HeadAC3he like AutoGain (at least i didn't found one), can you maybe tell me what global gain value is good for most of the ac3 tracks. without gaining the sound just as low as the original ac3 file :(, but i don't want gain too much cuz i might get sound problems with the ready mp3 file.
or are there maybe other options in headac3he to get the mp3 file lounder and im just to dumb to find them...maybe the boost there or something like that...

thnx in advance.

When doing a 2-pass encode in HeadAC3he the first pass determines the gain and applies it during the second pass.

If you want to manually apply an extra gain there's the boost option that does this for you.

hmm i did 2 pass but the resulting mp3 was as quiet as the ac3 file...after setting global gain to 15 it was lounder. am i doing something wrong?

Acaila is correct, 2ps float is the better method. Also check to make sure your using normal DRC in HeadAC3he. You should find a little more info in the HeadAC3he FAQ- http://www.powerdivx.com/phpbb2/viewtopic.php?t=366
