Hi
Ive been trying to burn to 99 minute cd's with this drive which i just bought because i read that it supports them.

I bought 10 infiniti cd's and im making coasters at a steady rate.

Has anyone got one of these drives ?

Has anyone tried these Cd's ?

The drive doesnt seem to recognise them properly, it doesnt get a manufaturer name and often fails right away when starting to write / lead in.

I have treid the NTI software, Nero newest demo and vcdeasy all fail in a similar way

AAAAAAAAARRRRGHHHH !

News report :

" a man died today after reportedly eating cd recordable discs ... "

Help !

Thanks for listening.

as i understand it the drives that say they support them don't really, they are just capable of overburning to 99min,so make sure whatever software you use supports overburn and enable it.

Thanks for the reply.

But I definetly have overburning enabled and it doesnt work, i may ditch it and get another burner, perhaps a liteon, recommendations so this DOESNT happen again people ?!?

What about the new Plextor drive? 40x?x?
Plextor has always producted products of the highest quality and if anyone would do it I would think a Plextor drive would.

Check cdrinfo.com and cdmediaworld.com for reviews of discs and drives... one of those two places is bound to have the information you're looking for.
