I've done a couple of encodes with 5.02, and in neither of them am I able to seek with the DivX Player. It just gradually chews up memory until it reaches the maximum (1.5gb including the swapfile) and then Win2k kills it. If I do a very short seek, memory usage again rises gradually, but eventually the correct frames are reached, the video starts playing again and mem usage drops off.
I'm encoding 1400mb movies, with AC3 audio. I'm using GMC and B-frames but not QPel, and psyvis is set to 'light'. I have no problems seeking movies encoded in 5.01, these are 700mb movies, have VBR MP3 audio and no psyvis (those are the only differences).
I know that it's not the postprocessing settings (I've turned them all off and on again). In PowerDivX NextGen I can perform a jump with no issues.
So... Looks to me like a problem with the DivX Player. Some kind of evil memory leak, has anyone else experienced this, or have a comment?
