I know there are a lot of thread with A/V Sync problems but i didnt find the answer for my question. So here it is.
When using AVI2SVCD i only get a .mpa with 22khz when converting an avi to SVCD. When DVD2SVCD tries to make an *.mp2 out of it it doesnīt work (file Size =0). Does ne anyone know if it is a problem with the codec or something else. I didnīt make the avi but i dont think the original avi only was 22khz.
Thanks a lot

Hello liebesgott,

(nice nick btw ;)) I moved the thread over here as all "I have a problem with..." topics should go in here. Please read the "Mandatory Read" sticky if not already done for further details(and the other stickies too).

Back to your problem:

If you want to convert a DivX/AVI to SVCD then there might be some problems with the audio conversion as this feature is still in beta stage.

If you have a DivX with a MP3 audio stream at very low bitrates (e.g. 22kHz) then BeSweet raises an error and can't create the MP2 file but the conversion process will continue until it reaches the "Muxing and Cutting" step - right? Then the process stops. If so, please close DVD2SVCD and all open apps.

You should already have the "Encoded_audio_1.mp2.wav" file and not only the MPA - look if it's there. If you have it then load it into a audio processing app like "WaveLab" or even the simple "Nero Wave Editor" will do the following job.

Now you have to manually upsample the WAV to 48 or 44.1 kHz and then save it with the exact same name. Then you copy the BeSweet command line from the "dvd2svcd_log.txt" file

e.g. "D:\Programme\DVD2SVCD\BeSweet\BeSweet.exe" -core( -input "G:\Conversion\AP\Encoded_audio_1.mp2.wav" -output "G:\CONVER~1\AP\Encoded_audio_1.mp2" -logfile "G:\CONVER~1\AP\Encoded_audio_1.log" ) -ota( -g max ) -ssrc( --rate 48000 ) -2lame( -e -b 192 -m s )

Then hit "Start/Run..." from the taskbar, paste this line there and press enter. Now BeSweet should correctly create the MP2 file. Reason for this error is that BeSweet will not handle all types of sample/framerate conversions (yet).

After that you can re-start DVD2SVCD and do a "Recover" from the "Muxing and cutting" step. I've done this with a DivX which only has 56 kHz audio and it worked pretty well.
