I've got films ripped and perfect for viewing but can't find a good enough blank dvd-r to burn and play okay on.
I've tried discplanet, which are okay, but won't play on my Sony DVD player. I've used budget discs, which play on the Sony, but I always get a glitch, probably coz the discs are crap.

Anybody out there know of a decent DVD-R that works fine, and is compatible with most set top DVD players ?

Much obliged.

I must admit that I have heard all kinds of horror stories about 'budget' media. I have recently got a batch of DVD-R's from 'thepriceiswrite.co.uk' for (wait for it!!) 85p each inc VAT. They seem to burn a treat and I am very pleased with the quality etc. I have also tried them in several stand-a-lone DVD players and they have played fine. Also a 100% burn success rate so far. At that price you should give a few a try and see how you get on !!
Happy Burning :D

I also had problems getting DVD-R(W)'s to work on my Sony DVD player.

I now use TDK DVD-RW's and Princo DVD-R's and they both work fine. And the Princo's are very reasonable.
