Have you tried to rebuild the .bin and .cue files? If you go to the misc tab then select crash recovery and load your D2S log file you will be able to start over from the Image file creation. Also have you trying to play the image files themselves using Deamon Tools or did you burn the CDs and try to play them? If you arent using Deamon tools then get that and give it a try.

Hi there,

I got this error in the past when burning the CUE files directly with Nero 5.5.7.x - Nero has/had a problem with burning the CUE files directly (not always but sometimes it was the cause of this error). Some people claim that the latest version 5.5.8.2 works properly when burning the CUE files directly.

As Jason28 already mentioned use the Daemon Tools and see Q61 of the Q&A if not already done and try this method it works pretty well.

Greetings,
Gerti

@R3N i'm not sure if you use forums or not, but you can't just jump in a thread and start talking about whatever... start your own thread and it will make things easyer, oh another thing read this thread before you post http://forum.doom9.org/showthread.php?s=&threadid=19566

I am having the same trouble. I can play the second disk on my Apex 1500 player, but not on PowerDVD XP 4.0 build (1811). I am running W2K SP2, on an Athlon 1900+ Asus A7v266-e. Cyberlink has not been any help as yet. If I mount the cue file with daemon manager then I can play the disk in PowerDVD. I have tried multiple burning speeds and media. I have not doing an image copy yet with Nero and Daemon Manager, that is next on my list.

Thanks for any help,

T. :(

Hmmm... You said it works on your stand alone, but not on PowerDVD? And the first post said he used PowerDVD too. Have you tried WinDVD? PowerDVD seems like it has a lot more trouble with SVCDs and WinDVD seems better. I also know WinDVD is not very picky at what type of files it plays. It can be a partial or corrupted file, which is nice when it comes to downloading...

I dont think that it has anything to do with PowerDVD. I have been able to play ALL of my movies in my Apex DVD and PowerDVD with no problems. I am pretty sure it is how people burn the .bin and .cue files. You should use the foolproof meathod that is listed in the forum. If you would like to try something different then try CDRWin 3.9A. I use that all the time and I have no problems with it.

You are probably right. I've never had trouble burning cue/bins with cdrwin or nero and if I did, I just exctract the mpg and burn it using my own methods. (Usually that's because the person who created the cue/bin did it wrong and no program will burn it.) Then after I burn it, I always check it on both my WinDVD and my Norcent stand alone. (My only problems I have, is I need a new burner and I get buffer underruns quite often. ><) I was just saying they should look into all aspects. Could be their software has a conflict somewhere or something. *shrugs*

Ah Ha! Using the full proof copy method, the second disk seems to work every time. I have tried two different disks that did not work by burning the cue directly, work fine with the fool proof method. Is this a known issue with Nero 5.5.8.2? Thanks to everyone for their help.

Cheers,

T.

What do you mean by fool proof copy method? I am also using NERO (version 5.5.9.0 in this case) and getting that error.

Can you do a direct copy from DVD to CDRW (SVCD?)

How did you get rid of the error 8902003 you spoke of?

Thanks!
Allen

Hi!

What do you mean by copying a DVD direct do SVCD? You can make a copy of your DVD with DVD2SVCD, but in a very indirect way. For foolproof burning search the FAQ!

I am using that program. But as this thread states, when using the 2nd disk there is an error of 8902003 when played in Power DVD.

I have downloaded the latest bug fix for Power DVD and same problem. See thread above.

Using daemon tools, mount the .bin file. Then use Nero's copy cd function, and select the daemon tools virtual cd drive as the source drive. After using this method, I have not had any problems.

@chakotay2:
I just wondered about the tem "direct copy from DVD to CDRW". The main message was, that the way of foolproof burning is described in the FAQ. Take a look at Q61.

Where do I find Q61? I didn't see it in a FAQ.

Q+A not the FAQ. Just a slight mixup in terms.

@winxi what that means is that Daemon Tools spoofs itself as a DVD drive. So NERO or any other burning software thinks you are doing a drive to drive copy.
