Hi all

It looks really a dumb question, but I have to ask as I could not backup DVD properly.

I used DUP-DVD - it looks really promising to beginers like me - just one click from getting backup DVD to VCD or SVCD.

Somehow, I could not get the second disk, I have tried quite several things but I just managed getting the first backup CD.

What have I done wrong?

Go with DVD2SVDC instead. If you screw up there, you'll be able to get a lot of feedback on your props. There are two entire fora dedicated to this program. Not that it's in any way hard to use, but lots of people generate lots of question.

cheers

Uglyduck, don't go for the 'one click' approach. Digital video is a vast and complex matter, and taking the simple method will never pay off in the end. Trust me, I came into the field with the assumption that everything would be a big simple one-click solution. That was 9 months ago. If you're serious about editing, take some time to get into the feel of it first. Read around, gain an understanding of the different aspects of editing and encoding, how to use the different tools properly, and how to get the desired output. Doing that will benefit you far more.

On topic, don't use Dup-DVD, it's a bunch of crap. While Dup-DVD dosent sell freeware programs like some less respectable 'companies', it still is a rip off both monetarily and quality wise. You can get much better, more rewarding output by taking some time to learn DVD2SVCD.

Just some advice, hopefully this will help solve your problem with dup-dvd ;)
