Check this out:

-Ripped the movie with DVD Decrypter (filesize: 5 .vobs totalling
4.45 gigs.)
-Used IfoEdit to strip streams to keep only Dolby 6ch and English
subtitles. (filesize after stripping: 5 .vobs totalling
4.45 gigs.)

WTF?!?! I tried this 3 TIMES! Even tried restarting thinking that it was a bug in IfoEdit. This movie is 86 minutes long and should easily fit after the streams are stipped. I tried opening the "so-called" stripped .vobs in IfoEdit and they appear to have the streams removed. I just don't get it. What am I doing wrong?

One time i thought this happened to me, but i realized that i set the output directory somewhere else and didnt replace the original files. After i realized what i had did, the expected filesize was correct. The newly created VTS titles are there somewhere. If thats not your problem, i dont know what to say except that its probably user error in some form.

Nope, the directory is on my desktop. I am getting the new files, however they are the same size as the original files. I am ripping 3 audio streams so the file size should decrease somewhat. Has nobody else tried this movie?

I've found that some movies are at such a high bitrate that they can be 4.5 Gig even if only 90 minutes.

Re-mpeg the thing down to about 7k and you should be fine.
