Please recomend video capture card

I would like to be able to capture video from VHS, VHS-C, Digital (MiniDV), and Hi-8 for DVD authoring. I don't need to be able to export the video back out of the computer, I just want to author DVD's. What would be a good card for this that would do it fast without a bunch of problems. I don't want to spend more than I have to either

Easy and cheap enough with miniDV, just buy a firewire card (from about £25) and a firewire cable (£7+), that is all that you would need to input into your computer. Not knowing which miniDV camera you are using, the top end camcorders may accept analogue in/out, thus can act as a digital/analogue converters, which is handy cobined with the firewire card. Otherwise the option for the analogue formats is to purchase a video card, such as Miro DC10 and DC30 series or similar, and use Cyberlink PowerVCR II software, which incidentally, was available as a freebie on PCpro DVDrom this April's issue, which allows MPEG conversion as well.
