Hi all,

I´m searching for a wav editing tool capable of the following:

- automatic glitch detection + correction

- automatic pop detection + correction

I´ve had a look into the wav editor of EAC (ExactAudioCopy, excellent tool BTW). It´s removal of glitches is fairly good, but pop correction has to be done manually, which is completely out of the question for this particular case.

I think of a tool specialized in audio LP processing - there must be some out there - since those should be doing exactly what I´m searching for.

Has anyone made good experience with a certain tool?
I would be pleased not to have to try twenty different ones, just to discover 19 times crap and one pearl...

Background
Two weeks ago, I made a TV capture with my freshly installed PC, and after recording finished I found that the audio part of the capture suffered from not optimally set BIOS PCI timings ... a small but annoying distortion about every 1 second ...
(The PCI problem was solved 2 mins later ... )

I hope there is a way to save this capture.

Thanks in advance

I found the automated click/pop elimination on Cool Edit Pro (now Adobe audition) fairly effective on a copy of an old old old VHS tape; I actually found it because of this thorough (but a little outdated) link on digitising LPs:

http://www.delback.co.uk/lp-cdr.htm

But I haven't much experience of other tools...

Would you be able to post a link to a short section of the audio?

I vote for Audition too...It's great.

There are also Goldwave or Waves but the last one is very expensive...
