Hi folks,

I have the well-known 71 minutes fatal bug when capturing with Virtualdub and my DC10+, even with the latest drivers and program version.
I read somewhere on the forums it's possible to use other drivers than those from Pinnacle such as the Pegasus MJPEG Codec. So :

- How can I achieve this ?
- What drivers would you advice then ?

Thanks a lot for any help !

Impossible (at this time) :(

Are you sure ?

By the way, do you also have a DC10+ and the 71 minute bug ? Do you live with it or did you manage to find a way to get rid of it ?

Thanks !

Yes, I have a DC10+ (converted to DC30+) and I capture with AVI_IO.
Look at the Pinnacle forums, this 71'31" min bug is common to some Pinnacle analog devices.

I guessed I had to use AVI_IO to capture... Too bad I can't capture with good ol' VirtualDub :(

Hey, how do you "modify" DC10+ to DC30+ ? And what new features does it bring ?

Thanks for helping already.

Well, I found this myself but it's in french.

http://membres.lycos.fr/dc10r/

It explains 2 methods to use DC30+ drivers for DC10+. They say it's to use Miro InstantVideo in Premiere, but I don't care about this. I just know that in VirtualDub's help, they say "the DC10+ has the fatal version of the 71 minute bug, the DC30+ has the non-fatal version which VirtualDub can work around".
So I just hope tweaking the drivers will f**k that bug.

Didn't try yet, though...
