Fatal error

hi to all reading this thread...

I did a DVD-backup using GKnot-0.25 and everthing worked very good (I put VD 1.4.10 in the GKnot folder).
This was my last "contact" with Virtual Dub. Today I started some tests with "new" capture-settings and I used VD 1.4.10 for capturing... no probs at all (for example no dropped frames, hehe:) ).
As it is straight foreward, I set up DivX 5.02 to encode Huffyuv...

- set custom format: 384x480
- Capture (Huffvuy)
- add filter - ResizeFilter: 384x240 - FilterMode: precise bilinear
- Compression: DivX 5.02
- psychov. enhancements (normal)
- pre processing source (normal)
- enable resize 384x240 - FilterMode: Bicubic (sharp)

... save as avi: lalala.avi (firstpass)

...but then this FATAL ERROR occured: [could not open log file for writing]
[cannot start video compression, the source image format is not acceptable]

I tested other resolutions... the same error!!
I tested other VD versions... the same error!!
I searched all *.log files on my HD and deleted them... the same error!!

what went wrong?? I have no clue?!

May someone could help me, I'd really appreciate it.

I just had the idea of reinstalling the codec (divX5.02)...

and YES, that's it!!

maybe it is caused by GKnot... asking theWEF may help.

you don't have to reinstall the codec, just enter a filename for the logfile in an existing folder....
