Many people say to use DVD2AVI d2v files and not d2v files created by SmartRipper! I have compared the d2v file created by DVD2AVI with the one created by SmartRipper and there are some differences. What do these differences mean and imply during encoding with DivX? Many thanks in advance!
I've attached 4 d2v files (http://forum.doom9.org/attachment.php?postid=127954) of 2 different movies for comparison.

PS: The DivX502 encoding was always successfull and I have not experienced any problems or quality loss with the SmartRipper d2v file (in comparisson with the DVD2AVI file)?
I use always my own created AVS file with VirtualDub 1.4.10 for encoding with DivX502.
