Ahoy,
since many, many people are too lazy or simply don't know how to do a proper research on an issue, I want to spend some words on this matter.
It's just that I'm very close to get fed up by these "fine people".
And when I'm at that point I will surely stop all my developing activities, search myself a paid job and will start waste YOUR (unpaid - uh, not really. usually you pay for being online. What doesn't mean, that I or WE _owe_ you ANYTHING) time here as well.
Ok, that as introduction WHY it is necessary that YOU do YOUR job first, before WE do OURS (or in the above case, I do MINE).
This said, I will start a new documentation called...

This is the "short-cut" version how to find answers to your questions regarding _any_ problems, and I'll go into some details how you find answers specifically for PC video related issues.
1.) Hey, I'm really too lazy to read all this!
Then you have a problem. Just drop your address in the message body, give a propper subject like "AAA #### IMPORTANT QUESTION ABOUT HOW TO DO ..... #### AAA". I'm really sure someone will take care of the problem and will give you a visit.
2.) Ok, but I definatly want my problem solved within 5 minutes!
Call a hotline or use solution 1.)
3.) Hm. Is there really nothing I can do?
There sure is.
If you want to get answers, you have to learn the basics (yeah, you read correctly, you have to LEARN about that matter). This is usually done by searching "guides" that handle your problem.
You can do that for example here at doom9. Or head over to http://www.google.com/ and enter some words that describe your problem (e.g. enter: xvid modulated quantizer type first pass).
Or why not trying this boards search function? It's really easy! Enter the same you would enter at google and you get a fine link list. (Ok, sometimes not, but you should think about better search words then).
This all means that you have to work through many pages and links. I recommand you to use mozilla since there you can just right-click the link and chose to "open in new tab". So you won't loose your search results and if the link isn't what you've searched for you can simply close the tab and follow the next link.
This is very ergonomic and should give you the answer needed within 30-60minutes.
This is the time you should spend to do some research. If you didn't find the solution to your problem, you either choose the wrong search phrase or it simply doesn't exist in written down form - now you can start to ask here!
Ah, I forgot to mention that every application has some documentation - READ it! In our forums here are many FAQs and other stickies. You should read them as well (and read therm carefully).
