Hi, DSPGuru,
I'm too stupid, can't find the parameter for adding silence.
In ota() ???
Please help.
Example:
Adding 8s silence to the end of resulting 5.1 aif (or wav, mp2)
Important, because most dvd players cut the tracks.

if i am not entirely mistaken, the parameter you are looking for is called DELAY.
-ota( -d X )
replace X with a positive or negative value of milliseconds.
-ota( -d 8000 ) would hence result in the addition of 8sec silence at the beginnign of the aif file.
i am not an expert, though. hence, just try it out. As far as i have understood the matter. true delay, i.e. a positive or negative shift of the audio stream along the time axis without the addition or cropping of data cannot be realized in all media streams. however i don't know which are capable of true delay and which are not. again, i might be entirely wrong.
good luck

No, the ota( -d nn ) parameter shifts the track from the beginning.
Important for muxing miniDVD tracks to achieve synchronous audio, because there are no sufficient muxers with this feature.
