How do I rip episodes of TV series (e.g. Buffy TVS) off the dvd? The DVD2svcd package picks the longest episode and I don't know how to pick the one(s) I want.

check out SmartRipper (for example) from Doom9`s site and
make a full backup of the DVD.
Then you can pick out the vob`s with the other episode`s :)

Just select the "movie time" box, and a dialog box with the movie time and chapters will appear.
Then click on the drop down box next to the movie time, and all the other episode times will appear, in descending order (first episode of the disc at the top).
I used this method for the Sopranos, and it worked like a charm.
I presume "Buffy" is in one hour episodes, so this method makes a nice one episode per cd conversion

On the conversion tab there is a box with the length of the movie in it.
If you click on this box, another dialog box pops up with the movie time and chapter list.
DVD2SVCD always defaults to the longest movie length on the DVD, so for episodic discs, click on the movie time again, and all episodes and times will appear.
