::sigh:: well before people come in and start flaming you left and right, let me help. You're obviously a little confused, DVD2SVCD is a program for converting DVDs to SVCD, not the other way around, this question is in the completely wrong forum (I can see how you would've mixed this up without knowing what DVD2SVCD was though). Do a search on "SVCD DVD-R" and you'll see there are plenty of threads on this.

Hi coldfire,
as you want to create a DVD, I think the right forum will be the "DVD / miniDVD encoding & authoring" forum and as RadicalEd already mentioned there are already some threads on that topic in this forum as well.
So I moved it over there because I think you will get more answers there than you would get in the "DVD2SVCD basic forum" - hope that's ok for you. ;)
If you were asking for experiences of some DVD2SVCD program users that have already done this step, then you might ask some of the "DVD/minDVD" moderators to move it back.
Greetings,

Thanks to the both of you. I am very much eager to learn, and have been reading this Forum for about 2 weeks now. So much to learn.

@coldfire
Yeah alot to learn it takes months to grasp most of the advanced settings and so forth. Best thing i could tell you right now is of course read up but dont be scared to ask a question after that and also play around with your settings, tweak your settings because what looks good 2 Jim might not look good 2 you.
This is a great time i think to be getting in to dvd authoring due to the low costs of dvd's, cd'rs, burners,DVDR and computers themselves are so much faster with DDR memory and all the great software being worked on things that a year ago would of not been possible to do like taking your dvd and having a svcd in a few hours or even less now.

the methods involved are all somewhat different based upon the programs that you're at liberty to use...if you are not able to access certain programs that may lead to optimized performance (as well as more expierienced procedures) the guides on the main site explain how to do it with all freeware and shareware that are available to download there as well. There are also some mildly different guides here http://www.vcdhelp.com
the basic process is simple, convert all of you mpg's into dvd compliant formats in your preferred manner and then author menus in your favorite dvd program...in order to be more specific than that would require, well, a small book, which is what the guides are there for.
