Ok....Star Wars :The Phantom menace is resisting all my efforts.

I wanna try a nu approach....but it requires manually resyncing ripped ac3 audio to a m2v VIDcapture of S.Wars.

I need some advice on which tools to use to
A) Listen to ac3 audio in wmp
b) trim (split a piece off) time from the ac3 audio top.
c) Playback an mpg with ac3 audio.

FYI

S.wars has stutter probs with ifoedit & VOBedit remux. Repeatable stutter. So no go with strip/remux to downsize/burn.

Reauthoring with spruce up results in ....lost subtitles (eg. Sebulba chat) AND ...what appears to be field probs when panning across screen.
This is after the remux with TMPGenc 2.54. I used the ac3 audio stream and m2v video from a Smartripper movie stream rip. Alas, I lost the subs.

Sorry I dont have an answer to your question but a question of my own.
I have tried the ifoedit dvd authoring feature several times and got the stuttering you are mentioning. audio seems to keep playing and the video stutters but seems to keep up with the audio when it is playing. Do you always have this problem with ifoedit and have you seen any other posts about it? I have been searching but can find nothing.

thanks
Jerry

You can't always use ifoedit remux......stuttering happens often.

Reauthor using Spruce up etc. after downsizing the video.
