hi, perhaps i can help tracing a minor bug in besweet.

OS: Windows XP Pro
Besweet: v1.3b12
BeswettGUI: 0.6 beta 39

I used the following commandline:
"C:\Programme\BeSweet\BeSweet.exe" -core( -input "z:\_Videos\comment.mp3" -output "z:\_Videos\comment.ogg" -logfile "C:\Programme\BeSweet\BeSweet.log" ) -azid( -z1 -b1 ) -ogg( -q 0.150 )

That produced an 96mb 0.150 vbr ogg file from a 112mb mp3 48000khz 160 kbit cbr file. However it played neithter in wmp6.4 nor in winamp 2.8, and when trying to split it, vcut stated 'input no oggfile'.

BeSweet v1.3b12 logfile.
--------------------------
Logging start : 05/17/02 , 13:05:43.
C:\Programme\BeSweet\BeSweet.exe -core( -input z:\_Videos\comment.mp3 -output z:\_Videos\comment.ogg -logfile C:\Programme\BeSweet\BeSweet.log ) -azid( -z1 -b1 )

[00:00:00:000] +------- BeSweet -----
[00:00:00:000] | Input : z:\_Videos\comment.mp3
[00:00:00:000] | Output: z:\_Videos\comment.ogg
[00:00:00:000] | Floating-Point Process: Yes
[00:00:00:000] | Source Sample-Rate: 48.0KHz
[00:00:00:000] +-------- LAME -------
[00:00:00:000] | Bitrate method : CBR
[00:00:00:000] | MP3 bitrate : 128
[00:00:00:000] | Channels Mode : Joint Stereo
[00:00:00:000] | Error Protection: No
[00:00:00:000] +---------------------
[01:40:55:080] Conversion Completed !
[01:40:55:080] Actual Avg. Bitrate : 128kbps
[00:19:30:000] <-- Transcoding Duration
Logging ends : 05/17/02 , 13:25:13.

Besweet seems to get the bitrate of the source file wrong. furthermore, 'Actual Avg. Bitrate : 128kbps' seems very high for a 0.150 quality level.

take a look at your commandline, the "-ogg( )" part is missing.
your result is a 128kbps cbr mp3.

strange, though, i generated the commandline with besweetgui which seems to work properly now.

one further thing regarding the oggmachine. when changing the quality setting in the gui, the commandline is not updated until another vaulue, e.g. channels mode has been changed.
