Get AC3 from a AVI file

After searching through the board, I only find some info about Nandub
But this is the case.
Is there a easy way with a program in cmdline mode to get the AC3 from a Divx Avi file.
within DVD2SVCD it seems to be pretty easy, but I can't find the program that he is using for, unless he is using a own internal routine.
for now I'm using DVD2SVCD to get the AC3 file, but there must be a program that will get it for me. I tried Nandub but there's no cmdline mode :confused:
So if anybody can tell me if there is a cmdline mode program or a easy routine to get the AC3 from a file I really appreciate that

i also have a avi i want to get the audio file from its a [ac3 16 bit-48k-2 channel]but have no clue as to how to get it. I also spent the day readin the boards an guides an still have no clue. Naudub wont work as a saved wave.You say u know how to get it usin DVD2SVCD if so that will work for me if you could explain that I'll be happy. Thank you.

Hi, just load the AVI file in DVD2SVCD and start the encoding
Just look at the screen and when it's starting with VIDEO encoding
just cancel the program, and copy the MP3 file from your destination folder into the folder you want.
Takes for me 10-20 minutes for a 43 Min Episode AVI.
Downside is that I have 73 Episodes to do.. so it's gonna take a while.

Now I'm only getting the AC3 file and with Besweet I made a batchfile to all my AC3 files and convert them all at the same time.
but still I need to extract the AC3 part.
Working on a program that will do that and I can put everything in a batch.. makes my life easier, without doing all the other steps that I have to do now.

i have version1.0.7 build 1 and it doesnt let me start encode when iload the avi. an to load the avi i have to change to "all files" in drop down menu.which is probably normal but no encode button :( all grayed out.

Got the new verson of dvd2svcd an it handles the audio code just fine. Thank you DSPguru for your help wit the progies. With these Great Quality avi's ill just go ahead an make svcd's.
