VCD encoding with CCE

Hi there everybody :D

I read in this forum about CCE X TMPGEnc for VCD encoding, and i agree that TMPGEnc has better quality and CCE better speed. The question is: Can you do something in CCE to make it encode better quality VCDs without losing too much speed ? Is that possible ? Any answers would be very welcomed. Thanks folks. :)

The only thing I can think of is to patch cce so that it uses TMPGenc's encoding matrix. You can use cce patcher or you can use dvd2svcd (newest version supports vcd also.) I don't think this will make all that much difference though.

Mpeg1 encoding is pretty fast, especially if your just using cbr. You may want to just suck it up and stick to TMPGenc. Have you given panasonic mpeg1 encoder? Some say it even beats TMPGenc at mpeg1 encoding, and I tend to agree. Speed is fairly comparable though.
