I think the best step to do IVTC is on DVD2AVI, since other step will lose rff and tff flag information (may be also drop_frame flag).
I don't like TMPGEnc manually IVTC GUI, it's difficult to control. So if someone has a plan to add manually IVTC GUI for DVD2AVI. I will be glad to give some opinion.
In my thinking. A manually IVTC GUI should have 10 small picture window above and 1 big window below. The small window can be switch between 2 mode:normal and DoubleWeave by one button. User can mark a frame as interlaced manually(change border color)£¬and a IVTC pattern (display as border group) can be drag to easily match the picture(auto skip or warning when pattern match interlaced frame). And the border of pattern change also can be drag. So people will easily define the IVTC pattern (or phase) will used.
For manually adjust after automatic check mode, user should have a way easily find pattern change area and the frames still interlaced after IVTC. So user can ensure he will not miss any frame interlaced.
Sorry for my pool English.
