Its my second time around transcoding with tmpg and I always end up with a serious synch problem whem remuxing it back to vob using ifoedit. I religiously followed doom9 guide but with no luck. Am I doing something wrong here? I uses rempg before but wanted to try tmpg because it brings better video quality. I notice this parameter in ifoedit VOB extras but never check it.

[ ] Rebuild PTS (needed for CCE/TMPegEnc Etc)

Do I need to check it and if yes, when?

Thanks. Any help will be truly appreciated. :)

Got an answer from another forum. It seems that ifoedit doesn't work well (or yet) remuxing TMPG m2v files and even CCE. Will probable stick with rempeg for the moment. :(

I have the same problem. Is there any reliable way to remux the TMPG re-encoded video to the audio? There must be other tools besides IfoEdit that will get the job done. If I demux the AC-3 track with DVD2AVI, then re-encode the video with TMPG, what is the best way to remux the AC-3 track back to the new video stream? I really like using IfoEdit with ReMPEG2, but sometimes ReMPEG2 just won't do the job, or does the job poorly, and TMPG seems to produce much better results.
