I'm trying to rip Shanghai Noon.

I tried to strip it in IfoEdit and it was just a bit too big after removing languages & subs, so I decided to transcode.

After processing through DVD2AVI and CCE I went to pull the assets into DVDMaestro and it wouldn't take the AC3 track. Playing the track gives the same jumpy audio as is the video.

How can I process this mixed interlaced movie?

I tried turning off 'forced film' in DVD2AVI, but the audio track is still all screwey and DVDMaestro won't take it, plus it's all jumpy.

These hybrid's drive me crazy. Any help is appreciated.

While trying to correct Shanghai Noon, I decided to run it through IFOEdit again and this time decided to "remove angle pointers"

I'm not really famililar with this process, but know it sometimes has an affect on movies that have that jumpy replay problem. I kept angle 1 and processed the movie stripping all unwanted streams and low and behold I ended up with a movie that plays correctly AND fits on a DVDR.

Happy ending.
