Having recently acquired a dvd writer i am interested in the definative guide for using ifo edit. i have visited the doom 9 site on numerous occasions and have no issues with using smartripper etc.
I currently posses the idiots guide to keeping a dvd menu and some instructions on how to use them but i would much prefer the idiots guide on how to use ifo edit 0.91 with regards to stripping the dvd from 6+gb to around 4.3gb.
I apologise if this seems a stupid question but if someone could help me i would appreciate it.

TIA Daz

Did you try looking at the Doom9's guides??? It's all there. Very well written and easy to follow. And there are all the guides you need.
Also, try Derrow's site for some more info about IfoEdit and some nice FAQs - http://mpucoder.kewlhair.com/Derrow/index.html

take care

i am having trouble as well, i am a newbie in the dvd copying field. i am trying to copy top gun, which is dual layer. i have ripped it using smart ripper, but when trying to play it in ifo edit using the DVD PLAY button it just shows a screen saying "This DVD is incompatible with the region" or a similar thing. i think that is a still on the dvd, but how can i get to the dvd menu? i am stuck, i just want to copy the dvd and keep the menu. is it possible just to re-encode teh whole dvd at a lower bit rate and not lose anythign? would this quality be any good or would it be a waste? thanks for all the help!
