View Full Version : Are there any other decoders (NOT players) for DivX5.0.1?

divxdec.ax for DivX Pro 5.0.1 has at least two playback bugs and ffdshow (DirectShow filters) plays back DivX5.0.1 at half the framerate that it should (according to the Video Renderer - very noticeable if an object crosses from leftscreen to rightscreen while the camera stays pointed straight ahead)

Are there any other playback filters that one can use?

thanx

@mikele

might be true for avi containers. yet, on my system, i cannot play divx5 in ogg containers. no matter which player i use it closes itself right after it has tried to load the file.

I asked the author. Not for general distribution - it has several bugs.

It should be better now. You can download new version from http://sourceforge.net/projects/ffdshow . ffdshow is not yet in "release state", but I think it's close to it.

P.S. Yes, ffdshow has its sourceforge page with CVS repository and some other SourceForge features.
