2 pass encoding problem

when using 2 pass option , final movie has twitching motions for aprox. every 10-15 sec. like there is a low memory or weak cpu which id not a problem cos with 1 pass or any other options everything works fine.
Im using athlon 1200, 256 ram, divx 4.12 codec and xmpeg 4.5

What are the exact settings u use for 2pass?
Did u try another player? Also check that postprocessing isn't set too full power, the colour depth of your desktop is 32bit (not 24bit). Are you able to play the vob's on hdd with a software-dvd-player without a problem ?
Did your do a whole one pass encode and a whole two pass encode and compare these?
