CCE & ifo method vs ifo CCE ifo?

Hello,
I'm just curious. There is known CCE & ifo proven method (cce, scenarist chaptering points...).
Here is another approach. Transcoding in CCE as usual. IfoEdit > vob extras v remux > replace video stream with CCE produced.

What is the advantage of the former method?

what if i just strip elementary m2v from scenarist generated vob and remux replace it with ifoedit then?

(thought i did chapterpoints in cce correctly and before the very first pass. Actually it was first navigation file pass, then multipass 2. Some, not all chapters were little off the TS value from chapterextractor)

will I still have to ifoupdate?

Please clarify. Does that mean that I can't use CCE if I'm going to remux the m2v back to vob using ifoedit. I'm using rempeg but seriously considering switching to CCE.

Do a search for Jdobb's program IFOupdate. Together with IFOedit, I've been able to reauthor just the movie and still have all chapter points and menu's work perfectly. It's the best way I've found yet.
