How do i use mpegrepair to enable pan & scan?

Neither the manufacturer's site nor the help coming along with the program answer that question.
Accordin to producer, the feature is quite new.
In fact as I was trying to play with this software I found in Configure page of the decorder an option of saving stream with pan & scan. When I select the output path and name, apply, ok.
and press run button the program produce an illegal operation (win98 used for the test).

Am I doing something wrong?
