dvd-r 9.4gb are they available

could someone please tell me if dvd-r 9.4gb discs are available anywhere if so where.wishful thinking but you never know

Hey, I know that smoof will have a fit for me mentioning this, but CD-RECORDABLE.COM has a double sided DVD-R (9.4GB total) (smoof even has two + 30 free single layer DVD-Rs that he will sell you for $20 US). They are just two 4.7GB disks bonded together.

If you are looking for the "dual-layer" DVD-R, well, don't hold your breath. Dual-layer DVDs are MANUFACTURED, not burned. Although some vendors tried to develop a dual-layer burner/ disk, all development into a dual-layer DVD-R has been halted due to the enormous technological hurdles.
