Rempeg2 And PS2

I heard that if you reencode a movie using REMPEG2 it will not play back in a PS2. Is this true?

No:
The PS2 is very media brand specific(at least on my ver 2 machine).
CD-Recordables brand media skips and jumps around on my machine but Apple media works perfectly.
The Matrix which I did w/rempeg looks great on my PS 2.
