Help! Need to convert a SVCD to Divx or DVD

Hi,

I have gotten a SVCD disc. It won't play in any of my DVD players and I can only play it on my computer with PowerDVD.

Anyway I want to convert it to a Divx file and/or a DVD. I do have a DVD burner.

I copied the MPEG-2 file from the SVCD to my hard drive. However there is no way I can open it other than with PowerDVD.

If I open it in Virtual Dub it is unrecognized. If I open it in XMpeg 4.1 or 4.5 same thing. TMPMpeg same thing.

How on earth do I extract the audio and video from this darn MPEG-2 file? I can do it with any other MPEG-2 file but just not those from SVCDs.

I found a way. At first I searched the archives using the keywords SVCD and DIVX and did not find anything.

Then after I posted this I did a search using the keywords "SVCD Ripping" and bingo I found what I was looking for.
