Divx playback

The quality of what is displayed in any of my players is significantly worse than if I look at the same things in NanDub or VirtualDub. Does anyone know why this is?

Did you try playing with the post-processing filter (setting it to higher value)???. Switch to 32-bit color mode and lower resolution to 640x480 or 800x600. Should help...

Can someone explain what is "post-processing", and under what circustance I need to enable it when playing divx movie... thanks.
