Update on my new computer....

Hi,

A couple weeks ago I stunned the bboard with the news that I had purchased a new computer.

What I have discovered in the past two weeks is that the TV-out feature on the ATI Radeon 7500 mobile graphics card is outstanding.

I plug it into a TV, and any movie, DVD, DivX, etc...file plays wonderfully. The quality is great and I am completely satisfied with this...

If anyone is considering buying a laptop and wish to watch divx movies on a TV (which I am sure everyone here is) than consider this laptop:

Sony XG-GRX550 - 15" screen, 1.6 Ghz P4 Mobile, 512MB DDRAM, etc...

Again, this is an outstanding machine in every respect (and does very well at encoding too!....over 40fps using DivX5Pro....)

I have the Radeon 7500 retail (not mobile), but I have never tried it's tv-out feature (can you believe it?). I hope it's the same quality as the 7500 mobile :)
